What is the Holy Quran

The Holy Quran is a compilation of the verbal revelations given to the Holy Prophet Muhammad over a period of twenty two years. The Holy Quran is the Holy Book or the Scriptures of the Muslims. It lays down for them the law and commandments, codes for their social and moral behavior, and contains a comprehensive religious philosophy. The language of the Quran is Arabic.

   The Open Challenge of the Holy Quran
  Why is the Qur’an a Miracle? The Quran is linguistically miraculous because it falls beyond the productive capacity of the nature of the Arabic language. The Arabs, who were known to have been Arabic linguists par excellence, failed to successfully challenge the Qur’an. Forster Fitzgerald Arbuthnot, who was a notable British Orientalist and translator, states: “…and that though several attempts have been made to produce a work equal to it as far as elegant writings concerned, none has as yet succeeded.”

  The linguistic Miracles The holy Quran is revealed into completely unfamiliar genre of literature, It is not like any kind of any literary works, the source of its beauty is mysterious. This view is supported by the Arabic classical scholars and western writers such as Arthur J. Arberry,Professor Bruce Lawrence and D.J. Stewart.Al literary forms can be categorized as either prose or poetry. According to Muslim and Non-Muslim scholarship, however, the Qur’an cannot be described as any one ofthese known forms of Arabic speech

The Subject matter of the Holy Quran The Holy Quran embodies precepts of belief and conduct, moral directives, legal prescriptions, exhortation and admonition, censure and condemnation of evildoers, warnings to deniers of the Truth, good tidings and words of consolation and good cheer to those who have suffered for the sake of God, arguments and corroborative evidence in support of its basic message, allusions to anecdotes from the past and to signs of God visible in the universe.

  The authenticity of Holy Quran The Holy Quran is the sole Holy Book that remained as it was revealed to prophet Muhammad; every word, every letter and every sentence is still as it was in the time of the Prophet. Unlike any other Holy Book, the Holy Quran was written down in the time of Prophet Muhammad. Most of Prophet Muhammad’s companions, tens of thousands, learned the Qur’an by heart, repeatedly recited in front of the prophet for his approval or the approval of other Sahaba Muhammad approved and also compiled it in written form while he was alive. It was compiled into one book by the second Caliph,Abu-Bakr. Usman, the fourth caliph unified all the dialect that people followed into one dialect

  Evidence to its divine source The Holy Quran provides evidences to its divine source that fits the culture of every age without any error. In addition to its unique literary styles, there are prophecies that were fulfilled in the time of the Prophet. There are prophecies that were fulfilled later and even now there are prophecies that we see them being fulfilled. The Holy Quran contains tens of scientific statements that are supported by our modern science, thus not only the Holy Quran provides evidences to its divine source but even undermine the basics of atheism. Also the Holy Quran contains historical facts that modern excavation aided with satellites pictures support, these facts were not known to any generations.

  The importance of the Holy Quran in our daily life The importance of the Holy Quran in our daily life Muslims must recite the Holy Quran in their prayers, they should open their prayer by the opening chapter and then you can read from any Sura. Non-Arabic speaker should read the opening chapter in Arabic. Nine great benefits of reciting the Quran1 - Reading and reflecting over the Qur’an fulfils an Islamic duty.2 - The Qur’an will be a proof for us on the Day of Judgment.3 - The Qur’an will intercede for us on the Day of Judgment.

  Your status in this life will be raised.5 - You will be from the best of the people.6 - There are ten rewards for each letter you recite from the Qur’an.7 - The reciters of the Qur’an will be in the company of the nobleand obedient angels.8 - Your position in Paradise is determined by the amount of Qur’an you memorize in this life!9 - The Qur’an will lead you to Paradise!
